  • Ingredients
    I use a deep Deep Dish, Pie dish, 7 large apples. The secret to the Apples is not to use the same kind, but a varity of different apples and this changes the flavor and texture of the pie. I also do not use traditional Spices in the Pie, but Chinese Five Spice, and one other thing I might mention I use a Food Processor to make the Crust

  • Pie Crust
    In making the Crust I use The following ingredients:

  • 3 Cups of Flour
  • One Cup of Shortening
  • 7 Tblsp of Apple Juice
  • 1/2 tsp of Chinese Five Spice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Put above ingredients into the Food Processor and Blend untill forms a ball and pulls away form the sides. Generously flour rolling surface and roll out crust, Place bottom crust in pie dish. Roll out top crust and roll onto rolling pin.

  • Pie ingredients
  • 7 large Apples peeled, cored & sliced
  • 2/3 Cup flour
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsp. Chinese Five Spice

    Blend all ingredients in large bowl and place on bottom crust. Put 3 or 4 large pieces of butter on top of apples. Roll Top Crust over pie, flute and vent and bake for 1 hr. at 350 degrees. Place on rack to cool.

    Serve as desired
